Our story

From doing takeoffs to teaching them

Westimating was built by estimators, not marketers. Our estimating experience started with 2 years in HVAC estimating, then moved to Division 9 interiors, where we have worked for more than 10 years.

Before Westimating LLC was formed, we worked as freelance estimators, doing drywall, metal framing and acoustical ceiling takeoffs for commercial contractors: retail, healthcare, education, offices and multifamily. In November 2023 the work became Westimating LLC.

After 500+ projects, we kept seeing the same problem. Contractors measured in PlanSwift, then priced everything by hand in Excel. Or they paid someone else for every bid and never owned the numbers.

That is why we are now moving from doing takeoffs to training. We build bids with contractors, live on their real projects, and set up PlanSwift assemblies with their own material and labor prices. They keep the bid and the system.

Beyond the takeoff, we help companies get organized: plan files, checklists, vendor quotes, proposals and follow-ups. With a system in place, teams bid more jobs and grow faster.
